Towns With Heart (TWH) is a community based economic development organisation working primarily in the area of Kurri Kurri and surrounding villages of Abermain, Stanford Merthyr, Weston, Heddon Greta, Pelaw Main and Neath.

TWH was established in 2000 to address the general decline throughout the region, to create a reason for people to stop in the area and bring business to the towns.

The main activities of Towns With Heart include the Kurri Kurri Murals Project, the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival and the Kurri Kurri Visitor Information Centre and Gift Gallery. Past projects include the establishment of the monthly Farmers Markets, the Community Wall and the Big Kookaburra in Rotary Park. Towns With Heart also assists with the administration and the coordination of the annual Weston Art Show.

A safe, healthy and thriving community, providing sustainable employment, quality of life and a great place to visit, stay and live.

TWH is a vibrant community group of volunteers, passionate about delivering quality events, projects and initiatives which enhance and benefit Abermain, Heddon Greta, Kurri Kurri, Neath, Pelaw Main, Stanford Merthyr and Weston.

TWH has implemented and operates a number of unique initiatives which have lifted the towns’ profile, embraced the community spirit, and attracted thousands of visitors to the region, while enhancing and sustaining a strong sense of community.
